Covid-19 Updates

SYMPTOMS

If any member of your household displays any of the following symptoms, they need to remain at home and arrange to have a Covid-19 PCR test:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

More information can be found at the NHS site

SELF-ISOLATING STUDENT OR COVID POSITIVE STUDENT

To alert us to the fact that your child is self-isolating or has tested positive on an LFT or PCR test please email covid19@stickney.lincs.sch.uk or ring 01205 480352

Your message will be picked up in school hours and staff will be informed that work needs to be set remotely for your child to do if they are well enough.

There is no need to let the school know urgently out of hours. Our previous hotline and specific alert email address has been decommissioned as schools are not currently being asked to trace close contacts. Students are now expected in school even if they have been in close contact with a positive case. In this situation students and staff are expected to take a PCR test within 48 hours and only self-isolate if they test positive.

WHEN ISOLATION IS NOT REQUIRED

Individuals are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply:

  • they are fully vaccinated (at least 2 weeks following second vaccine dose)
  • they are below the age of 18 years and 6 months
  • they have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
  • they are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

LATERAL FLOW TESTING

Please continue to test twice weekly (Thursday and Sunday) and report results to both the Government site and William Lovell Report these to https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result and to school (report your LFT to WLA) each Sunday and Thursday
