As a Church of England school, we are deeply committed to nurturing the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of every student. The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) is the way the Church of England evaluates how well we live out our Christian vision and values.
Just as a healthy tree is judged by the strength of its roots and the fruit it produces, SIAMS looks closely at how our Christian foundation shapes every aspect of school life—from our relationships and curriculum to the way we serve our community and care for creation. The inspection explores how our vision enables all pupils and adults to flourish, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or out in the wider world.
At William Lovell, our roots are planted firmly in our Christian ethos, and our values of Excellence, Growth and Responsibility run through everything we do. Our rural setting reminds us daily of God’s creation and our role in looking after it, and we are proud that our SIAMS inspection recognised the strength of our community, the care we show for each other, and the high expectations we set for every child.
“The school’s Christian vision is lived out with integrity, creating an inclusive environment where all are valued and supported.”
“Collective worship is a central part of daily life, inspiring students to reflect deeply and act with compassion.”
“The curriculum is broad and rich, encouraging academic excellence alongside character development and care for the world.”
“Students are proud to belong to the William Lovell family and are confident in expressing their beliefs and values.”
Our latest SIAMS report is a celebration of the way our whole school community works together: staff, students, governors, families and the church—to ensure that every child can take root, grow strong, and flourish.
