At our school, student voice is not only heard — it leads. Our Student Leadership Team plays a vital role in shaping the school’s culture, supporting peers, and promoting the values of excellence, growth, and responsibility.
Aligned with our ethos of care for the natural environment and the flourishing of every individual, our leadership structure empowers individuals to use their voice for good, representing the views of peers and developing skills for life.
The Student Leadership Team is made up of students who have shown exceptional commitment to both personal development and community involvement. These leaders are selected not only for their abilities but also for their capacity to inspire others and uphold our shared values.
At the summit of our student leadership structure are our Senior Prefects — two outstanding Year 11 students chosen for their maturity, dedication, and natural ability to lead. They work closely with school staff, represent student views, mentor younger pupils, and coordinate school-wide initiatives, particularly those focused on house events, sustainability and wellbeing.

Each House is led by two Y11 House Captains, senior students who embody the spirit of their House. These leaders foster house pride, organise inter-house competitions, and champion service projects that connect students with their environment and wider community.
In every year group, each House is represented by elected House Council Representatives. These students bring forward the voices of their peers, contribute ideas for school improvement, and work together to promote inclusion, teamwork, and environmental responsibility across the school.

In support of our value of excellence and our mission to help every student reach their full potential, we are proud to offer annual Student Scholarships.
These awards are designed to support students in Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) who demonstrate exceptional ability and dedication in one of the following areas:
Each scholarship offers up to £500 to support academic progress or specialist development. This may include funding for equipment, materials, short courses, competitions, or travel to relevant learning opportunities.
Up to 5 scholarships are awarded each year to Key Stage 4 students who have shown:
Applications open every summer term for the following year. Students are asked to submit:
We believe that investing in young people’s passions helps them thrive — just as ecosystems flourish when given the right conditions.
Whether through leadership or scholarship, our students are encouraged to become stewards of their learning, our community, and the wider world. Through these programmes, we are proud to nurture the leaders, creators, and changemakers of tomorrow — rooted in responsibility, growing in excellence, and thriving through every season of their journey.
